An unexpected aventure/ l'aventure inattendue

On our bikeride to the Summer Palace yesterday, Fabien and I decided to stop where we saw a mass of Chinese congregating and leaving with bags full of fruits and vegetables. What we stumbled upon was a Chinese market in every sense of the word. We were the only two foreigners in the market, which was comprised of a large tent holding vendors in an area of about 200m2. They were selling everything from cat and dog food, to clothes ,shoes, fruits, vegetables, seafood, and any kind of meat imaginable.
Pendant notre voyage en velo au Palais d'Ete, Fabien et moi avons decide de nous arreter la ou on voyait beaucoup de chinois en groupe tous avec des sacs pleins de fruits et legumes. On a tombe sur une vraie marche chinoise. On etait les seuls etrangers dans le marche, qui avait la taille de 200m2 et qui etait couverte avec un tent. On vendait beaucoup de choses comme de la nouritture pour les animaux domestiques, les vetements, les chausseures, les fruits et legumes, les fruits de mer, et toutes sortes de viande.

So this is a little glimpse of our journey into real China-land. It's these little things that remind us of the juxtaposition in this country of the ancient and the modern.
